Mikey is getting older now and he's so smart. I'm going to try to add things for him to play with that will help him learn. Today I made a Christmas sensory box:
Some old, some new. The box is a hinge box with 2 peppermint Candies inside so when he shakes it will rattle. The stuffed animal is from his grandma and grandpa last Christmas. A few shatter proof ornaments and Pom poms. Two different tree trimmings from the center piece from mikes work. (It will die soon anyways. Two ball pit balls. A 6' chain of Christmas ribbon and a candy cane!

Pushing myself forward
I realized today sometimes I get stuck. Upset. Fall back into old habits. I'm a new person! I'm a mom! I'm going to be a damn good mom. I'm not the self loathing, always downing myself, feeling sorry for myself ... Me anymore. I am Michael Thomas's mommy. I am perfect the way I am. I will lose weight. I will be the best house wife I can be. Hehe :)

So, I set a really high goal for myself and failed. Who knows maybe this week. My week was supposed to be a "me" week. Oh course it didn't happen but that's ok. I got the new iPhone 5 two weeks ago and I now live it. I had to exchange it in already the camera was messing up. So today was the first day in a week I'm wearing my fitbit and I forgot it while going to two malls! I can only imagine what my total would be! I figure ill stick to my old goal of 10k steps and of I get more great. I slacked on my diet this week goes to show I really do need to stick to it. I gained back 5 pounds but its okay I got it out of my system. I'm so ready to shop in normal stores. All of my clothes are falling off. I somewhat fit into my pre preg/thyroid gain pants. It will only get better. Well tomorrow is sea world with the inlaws so yay!

21 pounds gone!
So stepping on the scale and seeing that much weight gone is a breath of fresh air!! I can't wait to be at my pre-thyroid/pregnancy weight again. I have been slacking the past two days. Yesterday I got my new iPhone!!! I waited in line for like two hours! Mikey was such a great boy! Sometimes I feel if I'm making others happy I tend to let myself be miserable. I really need to start working on it. Poor Mike is sick I pray he's feeling better tomorrow. My goals this week are:
1) Get 100,000 steps for the week Sun-Sun
2) Do 30 day Shred 3 or 4 times this week (hopefully everyday)
3) Start organizing one area in the house a day
4) Laundry! (At least 2 loads for each and towels)
5) Take my appetite suppressant all week I've been lame

Where does time go...
I really figured I'd be able to keep up with blogging haha. Oh well always behind. I've been spending so much time trying to figure out how to fix our finances and "get my steps in!" Weightloss is my #2 goal right now. Well, maybe #3. Right behind being an amazing wife and mom. I can't beleive my bug will be 13 months on the 24th! Oh well my recipe for tonight is simply amazing.

Ingredients:
1c cooked Spagetti squash
1/2c Spagetti Sauce (I'd make my own next time less sodium)

Busy bee
So, I was going to try to blog everyday but of course I fall behind. Just same old stuff in my neck of the woods. I finally finished cleaning my kitchen it only took me a week with all the dishes we add daily! I went threw bills I had been ignoring and another reality check for me. No more random spending. It's not too bad but we have a bunch of random Dr's bills from mike and my high risk ob. Funny my insurance covered all of my regular ob but because I had issues it cost a bunch. Today I started reading "she reads truth". I once was very religious and really need to get into my faith again. I'm excited to bring mikey up in the church it was a safe haven for me growing up. I figure a daily devotional will take up so little of my time. I'm so ready for fall weather. I want to start walking in the mornings again. I missed my walk today because Mikey was napping till dark. Enough ranting u hope you all have a wonderful day/night.

"No Peeking" Chicken
So today Mike cleaned while I ran around shopping. When I got home I wanted to make my mom and dad something easy to reheat with our destroying the cleaning already done. I made "no peeking chicken"! It was so easy and yummy I'll be making more soon!
Ingredients:
1 box Uncle Ben's Long Grain Wild Rice (original recipe)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can water
(You can add another can of water for moister rice.)
Chicken breasts or tenders
In a greased 9 x 13 pan, mix the box of rice, cans of celery and mushroom soup and
one can of water. I always add the extra can of water because I like moist rice.

Dinner and a show...
Today my mom came home from the hospital yay! She was only in over night! My sister and I cleaned up their house and I hung fall decorations to help cheer her up! Mike watched Mikey for me while I cleaned! Mike's mom and him stopped by to wish my mom well which I really appriciated. After Mike's mom, dad, Mike, Mikey, and I went to olive garden for dinner! It was a forever long wait and sure enough like a few minutes of the waitress being at the table her and mikes dad started a fight! She was so rude I wanted to leave. We stayed and the food was ok. After was bed time for mikey. All and all a really quick day. Nothing too exciting!
Mikey sleeping before we got seated!

Long day
I had such a long day! My mom had spine surgery and good news is she's healing well! Mikey had a dr appointment and got 3 shots! He weighs 23.6 pounds and is 31 and a half inches long! The dr said she's as big as a one and a half year old. I took him to get pictures today but I think he was unhappy about the shots still, I couldn't get him to smile! (or he really didn't like the lady doing the pictures which is also a possibility because he was all smiles on the way home with me!)
I started running with him in the jogging stroller tonight. Good news is I did better then I thought I could.... Bad news is I'm totally out of shape haha. Well I'll leave off with the recipe that I made for dinner it was amazing!
Chile Colorado Burritos
Ingredients:
Directions:
Put beef, bouillon, and enchilada sauce into a crock pot and cook on low for 7-8 hours*, or until meat is very tender. (Can also cook on high for maybe 3-4 hours.) I've also cooked it in a dutch oven for about 4 hours at 325 degrees. More meat, more time. A third option is to cook it in a large heavy saucepan--bring it to a boil on high heat, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or until the meat is tender. If you go with a method other than the crock pot, make sure the pot is covered and pretty well sealed to minimize evaporation of the liquid.
When beef is done (very tender and flakes off when stirred), taste and add more salt, if desired. Heat up refried beans in the microwave (covered and in a microwave-proof dish, of course)and put your oven on broil. On an oven-proof plate, or cookie sheet even, lay out a tortilla. Place on tortilla about 1/2 cup of the meat, drained by using a slotted spoon, and a spoonful or two of beans. Roll into a burrito (hopefully you know how to roll these). Pour some of the remaining enchilada sauce from the crock pot over the burrito to cover it. Sprinkle with some cheddar cheese. Broil until cheese is bubbly, about 2-4 minutes.
Serve.
Makes 5-7 burritos, depending on how full you make them.

- 5-7 burrito size flour tortillas

A day in the life of me...
I was going to start off running with today's events but then I realized you have no idea who I am. Hi, I'm Lisa! I'm 28 years old. I'm married to the love of my life Michael. It's been 7 years married and 12 years together! My reason for living is my son Michael Thomas. He just turned one August 24. I am a housewife/mom and I'm working on becoming a better person. For some reason I am terribly flawed and I'm working to be better. Not just short term but life long changes. For example, I need to lose 108 pounds. Yup. 108. (That's where the "losing it" part comes in). I am currently seeing a Dr who put me on an appetite suppressant. We'll see how that goes! I LOVE cooking. In fact there is bound to be a ton of cooking posts! I am always looking for new activities for my son so blogs about that. I hope this gave you a little peek of who I am. I'm sure overtime it will be spelled out way better then I can write here
